Fancy the drive-in theatres that we get to see in the Hollywood movies? Well, Coimbatore is far from having one in the near future but what it gets instead will surely leave you in awe. Yes, you read that right.
Soon, the city is geared up to get its very own ‘Movie on Water’.
If sources are to be believed, the city corporation is eyeing the Ukkadam lake to host the city’s first ‘Movie on Water’ screens under the smart city initiative.
The Ukkadam Periyakulam lake has already gone under the knife to revamp its outlook as it sports an open-air stadium to attract the public.
Now it gets an even bigger upgrade with the setting up of a movie screen at a budget of 3 crores which has been requested on behalf of the corporation.
